Get Involved

Volunteer

We have many opportunities to get involved as an individual or as a group! We also have opportunities for those who want to volunteer regularly or occasionally depending on the season.

If you are an individual wishing to volunteer please, fill out our volunteer application and turn it in.

If you are inquiring about a GROUP, please fill out this interest form. We have options for one-day and multi-day groups and would love to learn more about your group.

Financially Partner

We are a 501c3 non-profit serving our neighborhood in SW Roanoke with the hope of being a blessing to all who come in the house. We couldn’t provide these programs and services without the generous support of our financial partners.

All donations are greatly appreciated and tax deductible. Follow the link below if you are ready to support this work.

Donate Items or Living Space

If you or someone you know owns an apartment or other available housing that a refugee family could temporarily move into, please get in touch with us.

We collect and offer furniture, household goods, clothing, hygiene items, school supplies, and food to each family. If you can donate any of these items, please let us know.

Seasonal Programs

The Friendship House doesn’t just meet during the school year! We have seasonal programs for our after school program participants. These include summer reading programs in partnership with the library, field trips (such as swimming, hiking and fishing to name a few) and weekly open house times where the kids can come play and hang out in a safe place for the afternoon.

In addition to this, we also serve families during the holidays with Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas food baskets, as well as our annual Christmas Toy Store. Through our Christmas Toy Store, parents can come buy new items at a deeply discounted price for their children.
