Since 2020, Friendship House Roanoke has hosted interns and work study students from nearby colleges and universities. Interning at Friendship House Roanoke provides an experience of gospel-centered ministry and the development of servant leadership skills. We aim to equip interns by: 1) helping them build relationships within a diverse community, 2) multiply their compassion for the vulnerable, the outsider, and the marginalized, and 3) broaden their understanding of Christ’s call to biblical justice and kingdom-bringing.
Friendship House offers both academic & non-academic internships, either of which can take place during the spring semester, summer, or fall semester. (See more details below, including instructions for applying.)
